8. Inviting

(Mrs. Buvana rings up her friend Mrs. Pushpa. She invite her for her
daughter's betrothal.)

Asha    : Hello!

Buvana : May I speak to Pushpa, please?
Asha   : May I know who’s calling?

Buvana: I'm Buvana.

Asha   : Please hold on for a moment. I'll call her.

Pushpa: Pushpa here.

Buvana: Hello, Pushpa! Buvana here.

Pushpa: Hello, Buvana! You're calling after quite some time.

Buvana : I've been a bit busy with some personal matters. But now I have some good
news. My daughter Rani is getting married.

Pushpa : It   is   nice   to   hear!   Who is the bridegroom?

Buvana: He's a computer engineer in Bangalore.
Pushpa : Good. I'm very happy.
Buvana : The engagement is on the 5lh, that is next Friday. We'll be glad if you could
join us on that day.

Pushpa : What time is if?

Buvana : 9.30 in the morning at our residence. I know we should have come and
personally invited you, but......

Pushpa : I don't believe in such formalities. We’ll definitely come. Meanwhile, convey our
wishes from us to Rani.

Buvana: Thank you. Pushpa. Bye!
Pushpa; Bye?
